Anyone know what size this bolt is? I recently had both generator bracket mounting bolts fall out at some point.(not the ones that hold the bracket to the block). Generator still worked amazingly....held in place by the link adjustment bar!I think the recessed pedestal threads may be stipped out. I've found a spare pedestal I can use but any bolt that I put in dosn't seem to want to thread in? Karl

The TR3 Spare Parts Catalogue lists the part number as 59115, which would seem to indicate that it is not a normal size. TRF lists that part as "use 51K1774"...again, it doesn't sound like a common bolt size. Since the lock washer is 5/16", my best guess would be British Standard Fine, which is 5/16"-22 with a 55 deg thread profile. Normal 5/16" bolts have either 18 or 24 tpi.

You may have to buy one from the Roadster Factory for $2.85... :eeek:

Sorry do not know the size -- but FWIW I think in addition to the right thread size you need a shoulder on that bolt. If it is threaded all the way up (maybe that makes it a screw and not a bolt?) the threads can wallow the lower hole on the generator front plate.
