On a pre-60000 TR3A can you R&R the fuel tank sending unit without moving or removing the tank?

Obviously large parts of the rear interior will be out. Assume I have an assortment of offset screwdrivers, plenty of time and moderate patience. Thanks!

Yep - I've had mine out a couple of times to replace the gasket and to get the thing working properly. It's not that difficult from the front of the tank - I think only one of the screws posed a problem, but it's not that bad.

By the way, I've got a new sending unit that I didn't need, if anyone needs one.
