TR2/3/3A TR3A front Rotors

TR3A front rotors: Can the 10 3/4 inch slotted and drilled rotors work on my TR3a the originals are 11inch

I think the smaller rotors are off a TR4 and you will have a part of the pad that won't be contacting with the rotor, I would stay with the correct size

frustrating isn't it, you just want to up grade the rotors (discs) to drilled and or grooved and they only come in the later smaller discs ( unless you pay big bucks at Racetorations in the uk.)

the smaller versions will fit, the wheel studs are the same but the pad material will over lap and in time this over lap will touch on each pad ( ie meet in the middle) and your brakes won't work.

you can change to the later discs and callipers but you will also need the later calliper mounting bracket.

i have thought of this for my racing, but then when i thought about it i can lock up the front wheels when using 185 wide very sticky competition tyres so the brakes are fine

Harnish's last sentence is the point I was making. So many of the things done to these cars make no or no significant improvement in their operation. Some even make it worse, like eliminating 10 or 15 per cent of the heat dissipating (i.e., braking) surface of the braking system.
