General TR TR3a faster that a Lamborghini Huracan STO ??

Had a very mixed weather day at Loton Park (uk) yesterday. Dry practice but thunderstorms delayed the timed runs just as the TRiumph class was forming up. Racing was delayed and everyone got soaked

in the end we only got one timed run - a wet one.

a mate came to watch the day and was initially wow’d by the Lamborghini huracan sto ( that apparently doesn’t need a front number plate) as some young people are.

later in the day he sent me screen shots of our times.


he now has more respect for my little old TR

A friend of mine used to race Geezer class motorcycles. Dave Aldana played in the same class. Aldana would pass my friend every second lap. Harnish's anomaly may have something to do with the driver.

Back in my autocross days in Virginia (early 1970's) there was a guy with a 1275 Midget, all tricked out with all the mods. He would go to the timing boards and see my MGB times lower than his and ask the air: "How does he DO that?!?"

A year later with the Elan, a couple FTD's traded back-and-forth, with an English fella in a TC Europa. It ain't always the gear, but sometimes it helps!
