TR2/3/3A TR3A clutch/brake cylinder rebuild

I'm rebuilding the clutch and brake master cylinders on my original owner 1960 TR3A. I've found that all of the all of the TR3 parts suppliers rebuild kits only come with 2 rubber shaft plunger seals. My original internal shafts and book drawings show three seals. Does anyone know if it's been determined that the middle (smaller rubber plunger seal) is no longer needed?

Chuck, you posted your question in our forum help forum - which is a place to ask questions about how to navigate this forum. Since you have a specific question about your TR3 I'm moving your post to the Triumph forum. If you're reading this, you are now in the Triumph forum.

Yes, that was a change. The kit should have come with the instructions for which seal was eliminated. I thought it was the end one, which was only needed if the other seal already failed...so it was redundant.

Don't lose those wavy washers. They are apparently made of unobtainium. And make sure you put them back the correct way around.
