I am planning to make my own wiring harness for my tr3a project and and have a chance to source an assortment of free wire of assorted gauges and colors, all MTW machine tool wire, that is temp and moisture resistant.
I have found numerous diagrams giving colors used, but none seem to reference gauge.
Are there any that show gauge,or can anyone give me an idea of what I should get.
Car will be stock except for 40A alt.,and electic fan.
Thanks
Tom

You might also want to check out Advance Auto Wires site. He has the stock diagrams with the color coding, and if you click onto the instruction manual for the wiring harness that he supplies, he gives you the gauge wires for the various circuits.

I went with the Advance set-up in my TR3.

Alohah back at ya Dave,
Britishwiring had the info I was looking for.
