TR2/3/3A TR3 Wiring Questions

Hey Guys! I took the dash out of my 1961 TR3 to refurb the dash and clean up the gages. With everything apart I decided that while I'm there I would regret it if I did not change out my tired wiring harness. Early on I bought a poster sized schematic from Classic Car Wiring, John Anastasio. The wiring harness along with a new control head came from the Roadster Factory. Here is what has stumped the chump: On the right hand side at the headlamp terminations I have ended up with two Grn/brn wires and one grn/red wire with no place to go. On the left hand side at the headlamp there are double snap connectors for Grn/wht and grn/red. They will plug into the control head but the double snap plug confuses me. The Control head will have a spare Grn/brn wire with no place to plug into the harness. Additionally the wiper has a grn wire, a blk/grn wire and a black wire. I know the black is earth but which of the other two go in the #1 position? Mr. Anastasio's schematic doesn't match up with the RF harness. My original harness had been altered to reroute the signals and horn. Although I shot several pics while taking the old one off it is difficult to reference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Steve-Me thinks I mentioned that to you when you posted about the large diagram

Aloha Woody,

I haven't had a chance to check my car, but I recall there are some extra connections at the front of the car. I believe these are to accommodate right hand drive cars. One harness was used for both left and right hand drive cars. I'm sure someone will come along soon to sort it out.

Regarding the the wiper, the green/black wire goes to #1 on the wiper motor and green goes to #2 and the black wire is the ground. Most diagrams don't show this arrangement for the self parking wiper motor.

JIC you haven't already figured it out, the two GN wires need to be connected together; while the GR is just left disconnected (with a sleeve on it to prevent shorts).<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:] On the left hand side at the headlamp there are double snap connectors for Grn/wht and grn/red. The GR sleeve should have 4 wires, two from the harness, one from the control head, and one from the LH turn signal.
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:] The Control head will have a spare Grn/brn wire with no place to plug into the harness.[/QUOTE]That's odd. There should be a GN wire in the harness, which runs over to the other side and gets joined with the other GN wire.

Thank you for your generous support. This was exactly what I was in need of. It will be a few days before I am back on the car but I will let you know how it goes.
