Getting ready to install my wiper motor and have two wires plus ground one green and one green/bk. Both my wiring diagrams show only one green wire and the ground. The motor has three lugs marked #1 #2 and one on the end casing. Can someone tell me where the wires go on the motor?
Thanks
Greg

Greg, Geo Hahn posted a picture of his wiper wiring, it was post #570967 dated 4/25/09. I have that picture in my BCF tips file so that's why I knew about it. I ran an advance search on wiper motors and found it.
Sorry I don't know how to give you a nifty link to it.

Good luck, Tinkerman

Black/Green...#1
Green...#2

The green is the power, and the Black/Green goes to the switch which grounds when you turn it on. The black wire (ground) is necessary to keep the wiper going after you turn off the switch until it reaches the park position.

The reason your wiring diagram is not correct is that it is for an earlier set-up wherein the hot wire was switched. On later cars there was a hot wire (grn) to the motor and a ground wire (grn/blk) that is switched.
