TR2/3/3A TR3 Vent Rod

I'm stumped. I thought I had all the vent parts ready to install, but found I am missing the vent knob sheath. This is the part that screws into the dash, and through which the vent rod slides. I don't remember ever seeing it...and the vent did not operate when I got the car, so I suspect I never had it.

So, I'm either missing the part entirely, or don't know what it looks like and it's staring me in the face. If anybody has a picture, I would really appreciate it. That way at least I will know what I'm looking for!?!

Thanks...

John

Don't have a picture handy, but the only "sheath" is a small rubber grommet and the shiny escutcheon on the top rail.

The grommet looks similar to the ones where the speedo cable, etc. come through the bulkhead, but is much smaller in diameter (roughly half).

That's how the pre-TS60k cars are, anyway. I'm not certain about the later bodies offhand.

Oh...I do have that. I was looking at the rod and it seems to have a fancy brass fitting with a slot that looks like it would fit into something more elaborate. I convinced myself there had to be more to it...false alarm!

Thanks again Guys!
