Hello all!

Griff here. (They guy that totaled his 3A by not tightening the lug nuts)

I have a bunch of parts and no car to attach them to and need some help with valuing a few pieces.

Please check out the pic of my header and suggest a good price (It is not cracked and was removed from my TR3A during resto and I decided to go quieter.

I also don't know how to price a good set of hood sticks. Help on that would be appreciated as well.

I have started a photobucket album of parts for sale so take a look and PM me if you see something of interest.

Keep looking because I will be adding photos every couple of days until I get my shop organized.

Thanks to all.

Griff

Griff, I am not an authority on used parts but I have sold and bought many of them. If you have a part that is no longer made the sky is the limit. If it is New Old Stock the same is almost true. If it is a part that is available on the open market I figure it is worth about 50% of the list price of what the big three charge.
I tend to sell on ebay. I use the standard auction mode. Start cheap and let the market determine the value. I have had parts sell High ,Low, and in-between.
You will have to do your home work on ebay and determine what pates are going for.
FORWIW now is a little to early to try to sell on ebay. Lotsa folks are still out on the travel scene and not interested or concerned about what needs to be fixed I would give it about a month or two and then start offering them for sale. No matter the venue.

Good luck, Tinkerman

Howdy Griff,

You have a PM from Me.

I forgot to add this to the PM so; Would you have an "Engine Crank Handle" you`d like to sell?

Griff-

If you were closer I would have very much liked to take a look at that trailer of yours, I'm in the market for one. I'll echo what Dick said (and I've bought from him!) - ebay is pretty good for market value. If you are ultra concerned about losing value, establish yourself as a seller by putting out parts that aren't too pricey first. Then once you build up a reputation the better stuff can get out there. Or just set a higher minimum.

On the header, I've actually watched these and sometimes they are a tough sell. I think the 4-2-1 style sell better, not sure if it is performance based or simply a design more coveted by the TR crowd. Your 4 in 1 head, as just a wild guess might sell for say $75. Shipping is typically the pain on something like that.

Russ:

I do in fact.

I don't know how to price it so make me an offer.

I have added additional photos to the photobucket list

For those of you interested in parts please email me instead of PM as I have responses coming in both ways and it is getting cumbersome to keep up.

At this point I have a verbal commitment on the convertible top, air filters, asstd knobs to Peter K. in Sweden

and wiper blade/arms to TR3Aguy

All other items are either still available or in open discussion.

The car trailer shown in photos will not be available for delivery until after 1st week-end in October.

For anyone who thinks they have struck a deal with please email to confirm what you are wanting to buy.

email is dgriffin013@nc.rr.com

Howdy Griff,

I just sent you an "Email" on my order.

Thanx, Russ
