Before I start twisting, prying and otherwise buggering up the turn signal lenses, how are they removed? Do you simply pry off the chrome ring around the lens, or what?
 
Mark, just gently ease the chrome ring out of the rubber and the lens comes right off. I use a Popsicle stick that is sanded to a taper on one end to help.
When you re-install them, a little dishwashing liquid on the rubber will make life a bit easier.

I use an 'orange stick' though these days they're made of plastic. Usually in the make-up area. But I like Fudgesicles so maybe Jeff's method is better.

Once you get the rubber lifted off of one spot on the steel ring you can run your stick around the lip to free the entire circumference. It is the outside edge of the steel ring that has a lip and that is where you work it off.
 
I use my fingernail to pull the rubber back, then twist.

I'm a lactose intolerant diabetic, so Fudgesicles and Cremescicles aren't in great supply here. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
 
I've always used a smooth, flat-bladed screwdriver. I'm just very careful with it. I've never marred one up.
I just stick it under the lip and "flip" the ring out in a couple of spots. It can all be done by hand from there until I use the blade to roll the ring back into place under the rubber.
