TR2/3/3A TR3 Trunk Plugs Near Gas Tank

Does anyone know what type of plugs are supposed to go in the bottom of the TR3 trunk on either side of the gas tank? I believe the holes are 1". Are the plugs the rubber or plastic kind? Thanks.

Art,my post 6k tub has what looks to be the original rubber plugs,with a small hole in the one on the rigt side, which I beleive was for fuel line.
This is confusing for me because I thought the line went through floor on the left for late models.

Mine had rubber plugs. I got new ones from TRF I think. There's an additional small hole on the right side for the tank vent.

I'm thinking those other holes were just to let paint drain away when the body shell was painted lo those many years ago.
