TR2/3/3A TR3 [Toyota] trans question

My Bently manual doesn't document the Toyota conversion option, and the HVDA instructional manual is not very specific. It seems I have a 5-speed from a Supra, and have ordered some speed-0-meter gears for it. After those are installed, I'll need to add oil until it flows out the fill plug. Where is the fill plug? Is it the gold colored plug on the right side (center of attached picture sideB)?

Having the motor and transmission installed makes the frame look almost like it might be a car again.

It is the big one to the left of the black bracket in the top photo.
You will love the 5-speed trans. and it won't leak oil.
Make sure that the drive shaft is a no slip it need to be solid. The yoke from the output shaft (the one from Herman) is the only slip you need. Or in about 1000 miles you will be buying another trans. The driveshaft will smash into the rear oil seal and then it will leak.

Dan is correct... the plug is to the left of the black bracket. I just completed the same conversion in my TR6.
I don't see the back-up switch clearly in your photo. Could be that the wires are cut short. Before I put the trans oil in, I checked the continuity of the back-up switch and found mine to be bad. You might want to hook up the meter and throw it in reverse a couple of times to check your switch. It's a lot easier to put a new one in now.
Good luck with the conversion... it has been the best addition hands-down that I've done to my car!

Thanks.
I'll check the reverse switch, but the TR3 doesn't have back-up lights. I might add one of those annoying beepers to the switch.

So this is the fill hole?
