Do the "lift the dot" fasteners attach facing "up" or facing "sideways" on the top (hood , for all you youngsters out there) ? Kevin

Usual installation will have them face the side you are snapping from to insure you do not tear the top (hood) itself when unsnapping.

I thought as much but wasn't sure, thanks.
In my hood, the female lift-the-dot snaps at the rear face towards either side of the car: those on the right have the dot facing to the right, and opposite on the left. I have seen these fasteners facing to the rear, but this way makes unsnapping the hood more difficult.
