Just a quick story about my day
All the cars I own and the Triumph, today, didn’t let me down.
The MINI is in the body shop as someone sideswiped my son last month. So I took my wife to work this morning, at 5:30am so the kids could use her car to go volunteer at the hospital like they do on Tuesdays.
I had the kids car so I could go to work. Well, while on my way to North Hollywood the front brake caliper lost it's bolts and fell off, I mean it was hanging by the brake line. Nice huh?
So I climbed under, used a tie wrap to hold it up, a vise grip to squeeze the brake line, and drove the hour and a half home trying to not touch the brakes, on the 405 in Los Angeles, not an easy task.
I needed parts & I needed to do 1 more inspection (I'm an inspector). So I jumped in the Triumph, it started right up and got me where I needed to go.
So, the 1960 TR3 was the car to rely on today
And always a lot more fun to drive!
