My tr3 steering wheel is very nice cond.,no cracks, but a good layer of grime on the rim, some small scratches, and faded brown horn assembly.
Any recomendations or precautions for cleaning and bringing back a new appearance. Not sure if harsh soap, say spay 9 and rubbing compound and wax are the right way if it is in fact bakelite.
Thanks
Tom

Frank,
Thanks for the link to your comprehensive article.Exactly the info I need.Luckily mine is not that bad, hopefully the porous brown has some pigment underneath.
Thanks aagin
Tom

Tom: Another thing I dont mention but common sense, keep the wheel covered when parked in direct sunlight!

Good luck!

Frank, thanks.Another good tip You gave to keep in mind is that at 6'2 and 190 its goint to be hard to resit using the wheel as an assist getting in an out.
Thanks Tom
