Don't have an exact number, but you've got gold on your hands, if it's a factory item!

Let the drooling begin!

They usually go for anywhere from $500 to $1000 but many who have the hardtop never use it because it's too much fun as a convertible so there may not be a large demand for it.

They go anywhere from $100 on up. $100 will get you a restoreable top with a cloudy rear persplex, no headliner, needing all gaskets. A nicely restored steel top with headliner, clear window etc is worth 800-1200 depending on the market.

Edit: I saw yours on ebay. It looks very good but missing the rear center mounting angle (easily fab'ed). Looks like you are also missing the aluminum side pieces that go around the top of the door openings - these are n/a and I've never seen them for sale, ever.

I'm also skeptical of anything in gray primer since it hides many flaws in the metal. Worth the opening bid of $100, might get $250. Your rear window looks quite nice. I see these tops on ebay frequently so really not all that rare. The "rare" bird is the early factory hardtop that was made of fiberglass.

thanks peter
top is very solid , i had it media blasted and primed, so nothing is being hidden

thanks all for your feedback

cheers

Guess I phrased that wrong. Sorry. I meant to mean that *usually* when I see an item on ebay that has been primered and not finished, I often wonder what the surface *really* looks like. Not your top, just primered and flat black items in general.

Is there an item number or link to the item. I did a quick search but didn't see it.

Cheers,

Dave at TRF helped me w/ part numbers for the hardtop, just last week. Unbeknownst to me, the (RED) Service Instruction Manual has part numbers in it; the angle part number needed is 602299, "Tapping plate". Looks like the hardtop itself is 553742.

I recently sold a nice fiberglass factory hardtop for $350. It looked identical to my two steel hardtops. A friend on the forum gave me a steel hardtop 3 years ago and after I had it media blasted, painted, bought new rubber and back glass, bought the bracket kit from TRF, I spent over $1000. and I was given the hardtop for free.
