TR2/3/3A Tr3 silent block removal

I read a couple of archived threads that said the blocks are difficult to remove. Does anyone have a tip to help?

Never mind, I got the BFH and a bushing driver. The biggest problem was to get the correct backing to have a solid place to beat on it. I hope driving the new ones in won't be as hard. I bought the rubber ones, just couldn't go the $$$ for the poly.

My son did this job on his TR3. He heated the ends of the rod with a torch, and used some dry ice on the silent bloc bushings. Needless to say this is done with the bits out of the car. The expanded hole and shrunk bushing helped installation, but you need to get it right the first try, because repositioning is probably impossible with out damaging the silent bloc bushing. When I did it on my car, I used the delrin ones from TRF. Very easy installation.
