Hi All,

Is the metal collar tucked up in the shock tower spot welded there? Mine seems permanently attached on one side, so that it can flex down to gain access to the bolts that secure the fulcrum pin. This picture still has the rubber collar in it, which I have removed.

thx!

There should have been the spring, a "rubber" gasket, the aluminum spacer and then another rubber gasket underneath the shock tower. Nothing is welded in place.

This is the bit. It may very well just be stuck/rusted in there:

Your pictures appear to me that all of the parts have been removed already. One picture looked like one of the gaskets was partially in place. It also shows the underside of one of studs/ bolts.
Did you do the removal or is this something you acquired?
Charley

I agree looks like everything has been removed. Your first picture has the top rubber piece that was stuck after removing the aluminum spacer. Then install new top rubber , aluminum spacer and bottom rubber as Charley said. Look at Moss’s illustration on the suspension .

If you look closely at the second pic you’ll see what I’m talking about.

Here’s a close up. The rear edge of it is not attached to the tower above.

Yes. The shock tower is the side wall and then curls inward. The piece in the center is the cap which is a separate piece that is welded to the top of the shock tower. It is easier to see the top piece if you clean the piece at the top.
