TR2/3/3A TR3 Scuttle Vent Questions

Did a search on the subject, and reading through the posts and looking at the pics makes me believe mine is not only suffering from the mounting plate/linkage coming adrift from the vent plate, but it appears to be missing some parts as well?

The vent stayed closed on the car and didn't cause any issues, so it's tempting to leave it alone. However, since I currently have much of the car disassembled, and the battery box is out for replacement, it's so much easier to get to now I hate to not deal with it.

I haven't seen any used lids on eBay over the past month or so. Anyone on the list have one in good shape they'd like to sell? Otherwise my alternative is to buy new from one of the big three? In experience with those as far as fit and finish, etc.?

Thanks.

Looks like pretty much all the pieces, except maybe the pin that grabs the operating rod. However, the hinges being broken would be good enough reason to look for another one.

Sorry, I already sold the one off TS39781LO. I'll peek in the bin, but I don't think I've got another one.

This can be fixed but you need to heat the hinge and free it up first. Then clean it and weld it carefully.Care must be taken not to burn through the outer skin.....duh.
