TR2/3/3A Tr3 Rear Shock Link

I have a rear shock link that I'd like to replace, but I can't figure out how to remove it from the spring assembly without taking pieces of the suspension apart. Is there something obvious I'm missing about this task? It looked easy till I got into it.
Thanks,

Can the Shock and Link be removed together? That was what I did on my TR4. The link was press fitted so it took quite a bit of force to separate those two parts.

That's what I seem to remember doing. There is enough flex to the rubber parts of the link to get it out of the spring bracket, after the shock bolts have been removed. The link is one of those taper fits in the shock arm. If you want to get it out of there, one of those tie rod tools is a good way to do it.

Thanks for all the advice!
Yes, I was wondering how to wiggle the bottom end out of the spring bracket. It does not look like there's enough space between it and the frame.

Re: Tr3 Rear Shock Link - Success!

Replacing the rear shock link required: 1) unbolting the shock from the frame 2) loosening the spring bracket to lower the spring and bracket just a little - that gave clearence to wiggle the link out of its hole.

Thanks to this forum a simple job that got complicated was explained and got finished. Thanks!
