TR2/3/3A TR3 project in Mississippi

Anyone near live near Mississippi that wants a TR3 with overdrive? If it were closer to me I'd probably buy it.

It says TR3A but has a TR3 nose on it. I would want to check the VIN.

Saw that but also considered it could be a typo since a 1957 could be a small-mouth TR3.

Mississippi had a lot of water in places this year. It could have been underwater at some point. Just a thought.....

And my thought is that car is already sold, or will be shortly! $1500 is probably a good price for just the overdrive and small mouth alone..

Water Valley is way up there,a long way from the Coast; It's not too far from Oxford, MS.
There is a reservoir nearby, though.

The nose of that car looks awfully funny. Check out the "Curve" around the "Headlights and Front Wing". Whats that; Molded into one pcs?

I guess you folks are right about the selling price for "Parts".

I see what you're referring to, but I think it's just poor picture quality. Looks like the fender beading is there; can just make it out in the picture on the right.

The panels are completely stripped of paint, so I think that makes it look worse than it is - if anything in my mind that makes it better - not many bondo surprises there. Someone needs to grab this thing, don't make me round up a trailer, I don't have the time to drive over there right now!

The car is an early TR3, TS12326 LO. Has drums brakes, wire wheels and overdrive trans. Engine turns. Body a little rough but all is usable. It now resides in North Alabama.

So how rough is the body (rust in floors, sills, trunk etc)?

Rusty floors, little in the sills. Trunk good, all fenders usable.Couple of small holes here and there but would you believe it cranked right up. I just cleaned the points, put a gas bottle on it and after resitting the timing it fired right up. Ran pretty smooth after it warmed up. I sanded it down and acid itched it all over ( PO stripped all the paint and left it that way) Made a hole in the barn for it to rest until I finish the 60 TR3.

Is any project really finished? I'm glad you found something to do, once you're done doing what you're doing. I think if I had a bran, it would be full too.

I retired three years ago but actually I just changed jobs but still get a check from the first job. I love it. I was headed to Florida this week to get a boat when this car showed up on craigslist. I think I did the right thing.
