I'll be taking off both front wings soon to clean up some rust on my 3B. Might need patch panels, but won't know for sure til I get there.
I was reading my copy of the TR Register "Technicalities" I picked up at the Register meeting in Oundle ages ago, the other night and read the section on "TR Sewerage". E.G. Putting in a drain "funnel" with a PVC tube system behind the Front wing, to allow water to drain right through the fender and out the bottom, instead of wetting the inside.
The approach now counts on hoping that water eventually finds it's way out the tiny drain hole that probably got plugged up when Jimmy Carter was in office.
Basically it's a system that serves the same purpose for the front fenders that the drain tubes in the trunk do for the rear.
Has anybody done this or tried something similar or better to protect the fenders inside from the drain water?
