TR2/3/3A TR3 on EBAY

It appears he's a dealer or runs a repair/resto shop in NH. He also has a '40 Mercury for sale.

Dealer pricing tends to be on the very high end. I'd bet this is negotiable, though, as with most used dealers. May be a consignment.

Concours TR-3 will bring such prices, and more nowadays. Looks like a nice car from the photo.

It always cracks me up how someone will advertise a car at top price, and not put any pics of the engine compartment or chassis pics. When judging at car shows,if the hood isnt open,I wont even give it a look.I saw a guy once buy a TR off Ebay for huge money with his credit card and it was pure hacked up junk. Maybe they're trolling for suckers?

I agree & always assume the worst. However, engine bay pic is here:

I would guess with the high starting bid and then a reserve they are primarily using eBay as an advertising platform to open a dialogue with pros[pective buyers (rather than a true auction).

Could be a very nice car... not perfect by any means but potentially nice.

The gauge readings in the eBay photo are a bit bizarre.

To me the starting price doesn't seem bad at all. You certaily couldn't restore one for that if the work is done to a professional standard. Its nice to see someone thinks they're worth this kind of money isn't it? Kevin

I live about 20 mile away from this dealer and have never heard of them. Of course, I don't know many people under 65 that I'm not related to, and don't have or want a Bugatti.
The thing that I notice (other than the price) is what was left out of the ad., commission number, date of restoration, mileage since resto, name of restorer, and as John M. said, lack of detail photos.
It is possible that this is a truly cosmetic-only restoration of a rust free survivor (if so, too bad it was touched) which might put the price in the ballpark but one certainly can't go by that listing, and it is much more likely that it isn't.

Maybe it's my screen or just my eyesight.
Look at the photo of the LR.....3/4 view.
Enlarge it.
Does that look like rust bubbles/pits along the A) rocker, B) wheel opening, and C) all the way up the beading to the taillight?
Tell me I'm wrong.

Maybe it's the reflection of the pebbly ground surface.....

Kinda looks that way to me as well. Also, especially in the full LH side shot, can anyone tell me where the rear seam for the outer rocker panel is? I'm having trouble finding it....
