Piggot references it in his Original TR3 ; says it is quite rare.
 
The "dual" exhaust pipes likely are an old aftermarket Abarth or Stebro system, which was a very nice addition back in the days.

Can't figure out what the original body color is for sure, but that interior is rare and deserves every possible effort to preserve it. Sadly, I'll wager that won't happen....
 
It will be interesting to see just how high the bids go for this GEM.

What's it worth? Sadly, not as much now as it will be after it is purchased and a: stripped for parts as one person suggested, or b: given a quickie bondo and Signal Red paint job and an interior kit. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

Hate to be such a cynic, but there doesn't seem to be as much appreciation for originality as there used to be, especially the rare materials and/or colors....
 
It's a very desireable car but I must say that I can see why the waffle interior was only used on a few cars - it's the first think I'd change. If it was a Bugatti, I'd keep it.
 
The waffle interior would deserve to be preserved or replicated...but it's no longer for sale...

Now if I could figure out why my TR2 has a WHITE steering wheel....
 
It's my hope that someone who saw it for what it is contacted the seller and snatched it up. We can only hope.
