Hi Folks -- I installed a oil filter conversion for my TR3 as part of a comprehensive rebuild. My question is is what model number of oil filter fits the conversion? The instructions that came with only provide a Moss number with no corresponding filter number that can be purchased at an auto store. My conversion is for the later design head, ie the Purolator. Thanks for any help.

The filter from Moss that came with my TR3 conversion is a Fram PH3600.

There are many filters that fit and seem suitable. I use a different Fram filter than noted above just because I had a couple of other (German) cars that took that other one.

From another list...

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:]You can use the following premium 5 micron filters:

A/C Delco PFL400A
Purolator Pure-One PL20195
Mobil 1 M1209,
Motorcraft FL400S,

Some other cheaper.. regular ones are:

A.C. Delco PF56
FRAM PH3600
Motorcraft FL400
Purolator L20195
Wix 51516
NAPA 1516
Hastings LF134,135
Amsoil ASF34[/QUOTE]

I know some regard the Fram filter as an anathema to our engines. I am aware of that website that declares them such. If one doesn't like Fram there are plenty of other choices out there.
