My wife really enjoyed this tale (she calls that sort of thing a "Let's see what you're made of" moment. But -- she wants to hear the rest of the story. i.e. did you find someone else. She demands a happy ending.

I bought my 1958 TR3A in May 1958, and while I had already known the girl I finally married, we were not at all serious with each other. She lived on my street and studied in the convent. That's the correct sequence to buying a TR.

Here we are (as same-street friends) when I was 18 and she was 17. I bought the TR when I was 20 and it now has 184,000 miles or more on it. And we've been married for more than 45 years. I still have both the TR and Louise.
