TR2/3/3A TR3 interior

I will be installing my new carpet in the next few days (if anything's left after hurricane Wilma), and I was wondering if there is a diagram that shows which pieces are glued in and which pieces use snaps--and where they are located.

I'm pretty sure the only pieces that use snaps are the front floor carpets. and the snaps are located in each corner of the carpet on floor pan. At the top of the carpet on the firewall (where it extends up from the floor) there should be a pair of spring clips with teeth that grab the front edge of the carpet.
Everything else is glued in. Although I usually just let the seat rails hold the rear floor carpets in place, and forgo the glue there

Most TR3s originally came with rubber mats in front, hence the clips to hold them in the footwell (make sure you're careful or you'll give yourself a bloodtest!!! Those suckers are sharp.)

The rest of the carpet uses glue or gravity!

The only pieces that were snap on my TR3 was the tranmission cover and the front carpet pieces snapping just forward of the seats and the front held by the clips on the firewall.

Another reason to not glue anywhere is to make it easy to pull out the carpet & pads for drying. I even slit the carpet pieces under the seat to fit around the seat rails to simplify removing those pieces. In your area I'm sure you're usually going topless and yet sudden hard rain may eventually catch you unprepared.

The snaps on the front floor were not for carpet. They were for the original black TR rubber mats that are available from the usual TR parts suppliers. I use them for holding carpets I use from day to day, but on the concours fielf, I remove the carpets and install the rubber mats.
