TR2/3/3A TR3 Hard Top

I have an original TR3 Hard Top that's in pretty bad condition; back window out but there and in serious need of having scratches removed, a dent at the top of the window opening where it attaches and surface rust on the inside. No rust through, pretty solid all around. I'm pretty sure it's salvageable without too much work. My question is: Once I've removed the surface rust, did the original hard top have a headliner? It looks like there may have been some kind of headliner but there's nothing that I could identify for sure. If there was a headliner, what type material was used? Also, what color was it painted, body color, black or white, interior color?

I have refurbished a hardtop for mine.
I had sprung headliner bars but was informed this was not original.
and a mate has an original Monte Carlo rally works car in-apple green
Hardtops are often body colour and headlining in a pale biscuit bonded to the hardtop.
I went with a silver hardtop as my car is black with chrome trim

I also went for a black headlining and used the sprung tension bars.

I struggled to fit it due to my roll bar. Once that was sorted the rest was juggling the brackets and seals.

the window opening trims are very rare.

The tops were a factory aftermarket deal and must have at least had primmer. I striped mine down to metal and cannot remember what was on the bare metal. I painted mine body color. The headliner was a mohair whitish yellow and held in by one metal band in the center and fastened along back and front with clue and on the sides with trim. Mine is stock with the 5 brackets around the back edge and 3 in the front. The caged nuts for the back and sides go under the trim and take a chrome bolt through the trim which thread into a hidden caged nut on the tub. Moss sells most of the fasteners and rubber.



I am out of town for a couple of weeks, but when I get back I can take pictures of what you need.
