TR2/3/3A tr3 ground clips

Hi all does somebody have a source for those tr3 little ground clips that are rolled on the ends and are screw to the body by the horns that permit the bullet connecter to enter. I have a broken brass one at home that I could take a picture of if my writing is too convoluted.

Since I rarely worry about originality, I just made up a short wire with a bullet on one end and a ring terminal on the other, then stuck a 4-way sleeve on the bullet.

Edit: OOPS, Randall beat me to it while I was still typing. :laugh:
 
I just cut the bullets off all the wires that are supposed to plug into those ground clips, and crimped eyes on 'em -- then screwed 'em into the same holes that used to hold the ground clips. Heresy, I know... But it holds 'em and conducts electricity...
 
Thanks you guys and I did look online at the TRF but it never occurred to me to look at the tr6, thanks Randall.
 
Yeah, it's really a shame that TRF has never bothered to publish a full TR3 catalog similar to their TR6 one. Seems like it would have to increase their business if folks could actually find out what parts they carry for the earlier TRs.

The factory Spare Parts Catalogue is a good start, but there is just so much information missing (especially for the later TR3A) or confusing/incomplete (the ground clips don't seem to be listed at all). And I think a lot of people are put off by having to pay money for a catalog, when other vendors give them away for free.
 
The rolled ground connectors are available,but my advise would be to solder an eyelet to each ground wire and bolt it through the existing hole to insure a good ground. 100mph and bullet proof is a good motto. Remember- this is an actual quote from Mr. Lucas from years ago. "A proper gentleman does not motor about at night". Doesnt instill much confidence in the products or design,does it?

If you do not want to pay the postage to get just one thing and don't like the work-arounds, consider: I made one from a tail light bulb base that I undid, flattened then rolled...
