Several weeks back there was discussion here re finding all the grease points on a TR3. Anyone have the link to that? I seem to remember that by the end of the discussion that there were many more grease points than most of os thought there were. Help here appreciated. Gil

Mornin Gil, I have a Texaco service chart that shows 24 grease points, plus a bunch of other service info. If you pm me with your address I will get it copied at staples (it's a weird size) and send the copy to you.

Cheers, Tinkerman

Yep, Andy same one.

It's hard to see on the above drwg, but F is arrowed to two grease points - one either side of the clutch shaft, making up the correct total of 24.

Gil: Just think. Next time you bring her in for an oil change and lube job, you'll really get your money's worth.

I have a mental picture of the lackeys at the local "Spee-Dee-Loob" staring helplessly at the bolt on the cannister oil filter, not to mention the veritable sea of Zerk fittings.... :confuse: :confuse: :confuse: :confuse:

A lot of cars have gone back to that type of filter. My 2003 Mazda 6 has one.

Newer Toyotas have 'em too.

I used to get a kick out of taking my '53 Studebaker Champion in for oil changes. It never came with an oil filter. I used to time the guy to see how long it took him to figure it out/come ask me where it was.

It also has a floor start button, that was also the cause of much laughing.
