TR2/3/3A tr3 glove box securing bracket

Hi all I know that I posted a picture awhile back asking what a little bracket was for on the back of the dash bracket on a tr3 and it was thought to be a glove box securing bracket. I am not so sure and was wondering if anybody has a picture of an original glove box rear bracket. I bought one from Moss many years and it does not look like the one in question. The one from Moss was shorter and stouter. Clearly they could both be used for that application because it is just a right angle small bracket. My main reason for being so fussy is that a tr3 guru guy said it was for something else. He actually thought it held the temp gauge tube, but was not sure. Perhaps he needs to go back to India.

In post #499390, the spire nut on the vertical part of the little bracket (attached to the right-hand dash support) corresponds to a hole in the back left side of the cubby box. A self-tapper and washer through that hole should engage that spire nut.

Good luck

p.s. in order to avoid a disaster because of those very sharp screw points, we pushed plastic caps onto them - saves bloody hands and shorted wires.

Here are some pix I have accumulated in my travels. Maybe there are some details in here that will help...

Thanks Angelfi for the pics. They will help a bunch. Do you know if the choke is supposed to go through that little holder or not.
