Anyone know the size and length of the two generator mounting bolts for a 1959 TR3 (<60001)?

Thanks in advance.

Hopefully you'll get an answer from someone who knows (I don't off hand) but thought I would mention that at least in the case of the front bolt, I don't think a hardware store bolt of the correct thread and length is quite enough -- I recall that bolt has a shank on it to prevent the threads from chewing up the generator front plate. Using a full-thread bolt may seem to work but can be a problem (literally) down the road.

Call TRF, they can tell you. I agree with Geo, you won't find them locally. I bit the bullet and bought them from one of the big three.

Same thing is true of the rear bolt; the part that contacts the generator needs to be a smooth shank. However at the rear, you can just use a bolt that is long enough to have the right length shank. Original part numbers were 59115 (front), 113094 (rear). TRF seems to have suitable substitutes listed.

And carefully check the thread inside the generator front pedestal mount, as they chop out, and if so, a new bolt doesn't hold for long.

Use new spring washers on both bolts, as there's a lot of vibration there, and if the rear bolt comes loose, the generator backplate often snaps.
