Sorry for the trivial post/question but I have wrapped up my engine in preparation for painting the engine bay and I left the the top bolt of the generator mount on the engine. I want to buy a new one (along with many others that I have outside the wrapping). Given how long it took to wrap the newly painted engine I thought I would ask if anyone knows the size of that bolt off hand (Moss number 322-035). If not I will cut into my wrapping and take the old one out.

Thanks ans sorry for the bother on this one.

Yup. I've got 5/16 UNC by 1-1/8" long.

Of course there should also be a locktab on it, which should probably be replaced (they tend to break if you reuse them) and probably isn't available at your local hardware store. TRF P/N 106706

If you pick one up locally I think you will need a suitable shoulder on that bolt. Using one with threads all the way up may wallow out the hole on that mount over time.

I didn't know about the lock tab -- will take a look (but I'll be surprised if mine is still there).

Thanks for the repies. Saves me from redoing the masking. And the advice on the locktab, I will order one.
