TR2/3/3A Tr3 Gas Additives

ISTR that the "motor" number was usually about 10 lower than the "research" number, so "our" current numbers would be about 90, 92 and 86, respectively. I've not seen pump numbers change in my are with the introduction of E10, nor have I seen any real change in performance* in my Herald since that introduction. I still pretty much have to run 93 octane to keep from pinging and/or "dieseling"!

*Hey! I <span style="font-style: italic">heard</span> that snicker about putting the words "peformance" and "Herald" in the same sentence! :nonono:
 
I was told by shop people and others to use only 93 octane in my 58 TR3, and that they are beginning to see problems with cars that use 10% ethanol. Good news here in Virginia is that the Farmers Coop stores sell ethanol free gas, supposedly because farmers need it to run a lot of their equipment. They never know when they will stop receiving ethanol free gas, but for the time being they have it. If you live in the country, perhaps you can find it at some farm supply center that sells gasoline.
