I am getting ready to order some new bumpers for my project and noticed a set of front license plate brackets on ebay for TR3.I had not even thought about how to mount my required plate on the front bumper, and searching pics on net it seems very few have front plates. Was the bumper just drilled for the front plate or were special brackets used? Thanks Tom

My bumper (both original and the replacement from Jorge in San Diego) were drilled -- I made my own license plate bracket which let me determine how high I had the plate mounted.

Thanks Geo.Jorge is who I intend to get bumpers from and after a second look at his ebay photo I can see the 2 holes in the middle for the plate. I read some repro front bumpers are slightly different in the end curves, and fit in relation to the fender.Any observations on fit ,chrome etc.appreciated . Thanks Tom

We don't need no stinkin' front bumpers...

I've heard that too, but have never seen a side-by-side comparison. If someone can post a photo of a known & unbent original TR3A bumper on a car -- I will try to match the angle of the pic with one of my Jorge bumper.
