TR2/3/3A TR3 front end shake

Are the wheels bent?

Raise side of car. Spin a wheel. Look at the front (or back) of the tire - not at the side - and see if the tire seems to move in and out as it turns. Typical symptom of a bent wheel. Typical cause of wheel shake at a certain speed.

Anyone with a TR3 should know that the Tr4a trunnions and upper control arms will make your life MUCH better.
The Tr 3 is a zero castor steering (god only knows why) this alone makes it "twitchy as heck" to say the least.
A big job?? yes . However the handling benefits can not be overstated.
But check the tires when you have a shake Issue.
Tires get old and die from the inside out even with no miles.I have seen so many of our club members neglect
the "rubber doughnuts" and get the shakes.......

Hi McTriumph

I already installed the TR4a Trunnions and control arms, it certainly makes life better, got new tires as wel, one set Vredestein and changed also to Michelin, but did'nt help. But can you tell me what your frotn wheel alignment is right now? The TR3 says 1/8" toe in, the TR4 says 1/16" toe in - 0". But the 4 is 10cm wider... I know that the wheel alignment can cause wobble, didn't changed my 1/8" toe in at this moment.
