TR2/3/3A TR3 front apron

I also noticed that TRF has front aprons on "sale" for $2,299. Does anyone have any experience with the aprons from Moss or TRF?

I assume you mean other than being for a TR3A

Hard to say from those photos; can't tell if that is just variations in surface finish or if it has ripples all over. I see some damage around one of the bumper mount holes; and at least one captive nut missing. The edge next to the hood doesn't look straight, but again that could be just surface finish/light. One of the side flanges is definitely somewhat out of shape, but that's no big deal either.

So, I'd call it 'decent' in the sense that it can be relatively easily repaired (with a skin of Bondo). But it's not ready to install, IMO.

What does yuour apron look like? I would think using Randall's apron for patching might be a better choice. The ebay apron would still need some work and it has not meet the reserve. Plus you've still got to ship it. I do know of a early TR3 apron ($200) and grill ($30) in good shape here in N Cal (not mine)and not the one in Sac that has been listed for months with rust issues.

:iagree: Interestingly, it appears to have no holes for letters (of either style). If so, it's possibly a later Stanpart replacement part or possibly even one of the Tasker Metal Products replacements that J.C. Whitney and others used to sell (not bad quality, as I recall).

here are some parts I noticed on our local CL:

Looks like it may be a small mouth apron. Not sure. No financial interest.

That is the apron I looked at. It is a small mouth. It looks good.
