I am looking for factory correct floorpans. The ones on ebay look ok but I need advice. Thanks
BEN

Hi Ben - I think I know the floorpans on eBay that you are referring to. Not to be unfair to that seller, but I'd suggesting ordering replacements from The Roadster Factory or Moss Motors. The panels I've received from them have been good, not as impressed with what I've received from Victoria British. I haven't actually ordered floors from VB, but I do have a set of floors for the TR3 from Moss that look quite nice actually.

Hi Ben, I also am a TR3 newbie with a darn near basket case project I've taken on. I bought a pair of the floorboards I think your referring to on ebay. They are not factory correct. I havent started their installation. I am very happy with their construction, but mostly I am happy with their price. Service and all that stuff was fine. I am trying to restore this car well and these panels will allow me to replace my rotten floors rather than put patches upon patches. I will be spending extra time drilling holes for frame bolting but I am not going to sweat the lack of a large jackhole. I look forward to driving my TR3 and do not consider use of these floorboards on my TR3 as a negative.

Howdy Folks,

As you all may be aware; I`m in the process of restoring a `57TR3 Small Mouth.

I believe we`re all referring to same folks on ebay who are selling Floors and Outer Rockers @ a substancial cost savings.

Well; I ord. both sides for the Floors and Outer Rockers. They "Appear" to be pretty nice (Surely a heck of alot better than whats in my car now; Which is almost nothing).

Anyways; My TR will be going into the shop for all the body work to include the New Floors & Sills. I`ll let you folks know what my "Guru" restoration gent will have to say about them.

Best Wishes,

Russ

Ahhh Another newbie. What a great car to restore. Mine was a basket case but solid and complete. Everything is there. I slowly removed every part and am restoring them as I go. Everything has came out super. I a took the body off and the engine and trany last week and finally got down to the frame. It is going to be sweet.

How cool that we have a couple TR3s that are in the right hands - press on guys!

(but consider using Heritage parts when you can)

Hi all,
Ben I've got the floor pans from Frank off e-bay installed now. Be prepared to spend some extra time cutting and welding. I'm not sure how yours will line up but I needed to move the hole for the hand brake and trim and re-weld for to match the transmission tunnel to the pans. Also the pans are not as long as the originals so you will need to use the back portion of yours. Good deal though and with some extra work they'll work.
John

Ben,
I purchased floor pans, sills and rockers from Moss and
everything seems to line up quite well. I have them laid out on the frame and everthing seems to match up with the frame.
I,'m in the process of repairing the front and rear clips so I'll have something to weld the floor to. I'm not familiar with the Ebay floors. But I would recomend the Moss parts.
