Hello I’m looking to purchase a set of fender Spats for my TR3. I saw previous posts that listed a member that may be making them. At one time someone was selling them on EBay. You would send a pattern of your fenders to them so they were made to fit. One post led to Dan Tinman58. If anyone has a pair to sell in any condition or has any info it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

I have made quite a few sets of the spats. I have since moved to Idaho, my garage is 1800 square feet with a lift. It’s been 4 years and still doing landscaping and remodeling the house. I hope to get time this winter to start the “fun” stuff. I still have patterns but can’t guarantee that I will get back to making more of the spats.
P.S. I sold my own set to someone that was desperate for a set. So maybe sooner than later.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m trying to get a pair for my 57. The V T R has a show near me in Gettysburg Pa next June 2022. I had wanted a set for the show If you plan to make any please keep me posted. The AACA Hershey car show has been running the past few days and I took a paper template along to try to match up with flea market skirts from American cars but didn’t have any luck. Could I purchase a set of your patterns and is there any modifications that need to be done to the fenders before I paint them. I’m looking to paint the car in December.. Thanks so much

I have found that every set of spats that I have made, using my TR3 as a pattern needs some final adjusting. That being said if you use your pattern from your TR3 fender, the fit will be more accurate. I have measured different TR3 wheel openings and they can be different by as much as 3/4 of an inch. The tricky part is mounting them to the fender. I can send you some photos of how I built them, if that would help.

That would be great. Any photos or info would be appreciated. I have matched my rough paper pattern to some late 30’s Ford or mercury fenders at local car shows. But haven’t found any of those yet either. Thanks so much
