A friend and I were checking the timing of my TR3 and we notice the the hub that the fan bolts to was not runing ture. It looks like it's a little out of round. I plan on useing a electric fan and removing the old one so that might help. But should I be concered about it.
Thanks
Greg

It's pretty hard for me to imagine how the hub itself would be responsible. It's a pretty sturdy extension. All the fasteners are correct and tight? If your seeing a wobble (and it's not just a bent blade on the fan), then this sounds like a prescription for disaster; that is, for breaking a crankshaft.

If you do convert to an exclusively electric fan arrangement (and remove the hub and fan), don't you still have to be concerned with having the engine balanced?
