TR2/3/3A TR3 Falcon exhaust fitting issues

Has anybody fitted a Falcon SS exhaust to their car? Mine has two areas that are two close for comfort. One is just to the bottom of the down pipe next to the frame. The next is at the trans area. Here it sits to close to the bottom of the frame.

I have the original style center exhaust mount that bridges the frame on the car now. The rubber pieces that go thru the frame are already starting to crack. I have a the TR4 style mount that goes to the rear of the trans and was thinking of using that instead. I don't think it will change the way the exhaust is hanging though.

I'm trying to get the chassis all together now because the body should be back home from the painters in a few weeks.

Re: TRs Falcon exhaust fitting issues

Well after 6 1/2 hours I got the exhaust where I like it. With the help of my neighbor and his very large vise we were able to insert 8' long pipe inside the the down pipe and bend it just a bit. This did throw off the mount at the transmission so I had to fabricate a small extension for the TR4 bracket. Until I get the body back on the car I will not know how far the tail pipe should stick out.
