TR2/3/3A TR3 engine cylinder top clearance

I have a can of Wurth cu1100 high adhesive lubricant that I was give from a friend that used to do Stanley steam cars. It is like a copper anti seize. It is an anti-corrosion copper paste that is temperature resistant up to 2ooo degrees F. I have used it on exhaust gaskets and never a leak. It is a thick sticky paste applied with a brush in the can. Frank

Use the Hylomar. It works very well. When you gat the block cleaned, use the copper figure of 8 seals , they do compress and will help with sealing the liners to the block. I would also look into using the newer style head gasket that is the same used on engines now. It is fantastic . I would also change out the headstudes to ones made by ARP. They are made with high tensile steel..

When you put the studs back into the block (that is if you took them out) only tighten them finger tight because when you torque the head down and the studs are torqued prior the torque numbers add to each other and can crack the block because the numbers compound.
