TR2/3/3A TR3 Door hinge hole pattern???

I know the early hinges are different than the late hinges, but, are the screw hole located in the same pattern? I need a upper left hinge for the later application and do not want to buy a set of 4 for 180.00 to get one hinge I need. It seem if the doors are interchangable the hinges must be too. Anybody have a upper left door hinge to sell? It appears the old style brass hinges are sold individually. I could make due with one of those for now. Thanks in advance.
 
I'm not positive, but I think the hinges have different bolt patterns. The doors changed at the same time, not sure if the A-post did or not but it could have since the entire body was re-worked at TS60,000 (when the hinges changed).
 
I think I have some do but it's hard to distinguish. I"ll dig through tomorrow and let you know. Tom
 
Not sure if bolt pattern changed later, but here are my originals from by 56 for comparison to what you need. Cheers, Mike

Yeah, upper left is always the one that wears the most. Had to replace it on my TR3.
 
Yep. Mine is actually broken. Thought I could weld it but the pin won't even come out. Appears the pin froze and at some point it broke the upper ear on the hinge. It appears the bolt pattern is the same,based on the picture, so I can use the old style as a replacement. Actually the old style looks more sturdy than the "new-improved" later ones. If anyone has one of either-late or early-let me know, I'm interested in buying. It also appears the Rt and Lf are interchangable. Catalog shows only one upr and one lower. Thanks for all the input.

I do have one (Post 60000). Not perfect, very slight wobble in the pin, but pretty good. I'd use it on mine, in fact, it is at least as good as the hinges I am using. (The earlier hinges do have quite a different look to them from Mike's picture). Tom
 
Mike - The post-TS 60000 had hinges which are made of steel. They are stamped out.

I have hinges on my "early" TR3A (TS 27489 LO) with brass hinges as you show above. The 4 plus 4 hinges are at the top of the door and the top of the "A" posts. The hinge with the 3 holes is the lower hinge.

Yes, took the hinges apart to lubricate and clean (product I used to clean is a "Mother's" brand chrome cleaner, which is a paste that I have found to work very well). I liked the brass look so much I decided to leave them like that and applied a clear coat to them :smile:

Just as an FYI, I bought new hinges from Moss and decided to use the old ones because the Moss hinges made the doors look a bit out of allignment.
