Well, I finally got around to recovering the doglegs on the TR3. I'd like to thank Geo Hahn for the excellent ideas for the holding jig and method of doing the job as shown in this thread from awhile back. I've seen too many TR3's with wrinkles in that lower section, and I really wanted to avoid that. It was a bit of a challenge, but it worked out really good (see attachment). I didn't need to use any nails through the holes in the dogleg, as the jig itself proved to hold the dogleg really good. Also, I only needed a little bit of heat for one of the doglegs. Probably because I didn't soak the second one as long as the first.

Thanks again Geo. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Well done, Martx-5, with a tip of the hat to Geo. Who was the source of your cover material? It looks great! White car? Best, Kevin Browne

I got the whole interior from TRF when they had a sale. The carpets, the fuzzy strips, the seat covers, the dash kit, the panels and the capping material...all leather. I figured that if I got it all at the same time the color match would be right on...which it is, except for the fuzzy strips. They are a bit darker. By the way, the car will be painted black, so I've got my work cut out for me doing the body panels. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif
