TR2/3/3A TR3 clutch release bearing... from Home Depot?

What's even more bizarre is that someone searched for TR3 TOB's at Home Depot.

I think a Timkenen bearing would have their name on it and possibly also country of origin.
My guess is gray market.Still amazed they list it.

Scroll down the page and be happy you do not drive a Saab. Throwout bearing for 1986-1990 900 is 76.41, vs. 18.91 for the TR!

I actually have that bearing installed in my 3A, although not purchased from Home Depot. It's made by Aetna in the U.S. for Timken. You can see the Aetna and USA mark in the picture. I was informed that Aetna makes many bearings for Timken. Not sure how long it will last, but the quality seemed better than the one I purchased from Moss about 15 years ago.

Do you recall what Moss sold you? I just bought one from BPNW made by Powertune in Taiwan. Wonder if I would be better off with the Timken. Plus I would be able to tell all my friends I bought my throwout bearing at Home Depot.

I BOUGHT ONE! WOOHOO! Free shipping to my local Home Depot. Couldn't resist when I found out that Aetna Bearings just moved to Livonia, MI, which is not far from where I live. Plus I'm just more comfortable with a US-made bearing than Taiwan-made. If anybody has evidence that would change my mind on this I'd love to hear it.

The Aetna part number is A-2256. Here's Aetna's spec page: https://www.aetnabearing.com/products/aetna-clutch/clutch-release-bearing/

And here it is. Wonders never cease.
