TR2/3/3A TR3 Clutch Master Cylinder

Mine's the same: angled on the brake side marked Girling. Straight on the clutch side no markings. The clutch m/c just started weeping so I ordered and just received one of the Classic Gold cyls from Moss as well as a new master to slave pipe.

The CG m/c has a totally different exterior finish, darker and rougher milled finish while the originals are shinyish aluminum with sloppier casting. The replacement also has a single ring cast indicating .75 bore but my originals do not. Maybe Girling started with the rings later.

Overall the China made Classic Gold cylinder seems to be of excellent quality, at least on the outside. I priced out a new genuine Girling @$100 that also had a slanted port but I opted to save the $$, buy the CG and rebuild the original. I plan to swap in the CG unit to stay on the road, and rebuild the straight port one.
