TR2/3/3A TR3 Carpet Vendor Recommendation?

The carpet for my 1961 TR3 project is trashed and incomplete. Do you guys have a recommendation on a supplier / manufacture of carpet giving me the best value and quality for my money? I want to go with a black loop instead of the wool or fuzzy nap. Will the carpet glue in? Padding? Any suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated.

I got my carpeting from The Roadster Factory. The quality is good, and they have both wool and rayon loop. The fit was very good. I had no problems with installation. The only places that I used any glue was the rear section of the trans/driveshaft tunnel, the side sections going up in front of the doors, and the small section above the front of the trans tunnel. The sections under the seats are just held down by the seats. The sections in front of the seats and the trans tunnel itself are held in with snaps and clips. The rear shelf area I have held in place with screws and snaps. I think there was some other small sections I had to glue in the rear.

I only put padding under the sections in front of the seats and the horizontal section of the rear shelf. I didn't glue down any padding.

Some guys add more padding and glueing, and if you had an earlier TR3, the rear section would also require more gluing.

I ended up purchasing a black Magic Carpet Kit (nylon) because it was both on sale and there was a shipping savings that weekend too. As you'll see in the thread there are other suppliers, I went with TRF because it is in the States and the sale. After looking it over quickly, it looks good to me. It wont get installed for a while yet since I have other more important projects pending and in the works.
 
Here's a pic of my car, after I pulled out the ratty, unattached carpet. What's left is the original carpet, glued to the tub, which I cleaned and left in place.

Replaced ratty w/ AMCO carpet, vintage mid-70's, which fits poorly, but covers the original, non-glued pieces....
 
Kevin: That's an amazingly clean floor. Did your car spend all of its life in California? BTW, your's was built maybe 1 week before mine, September 1, 1959.

This is what I saw when I removed my carpets. Of course mine was a New Jersey car.

California car, Frank, sold at Bruck Oldsmobile/Triumph in Glendale, CA, December 26, 1959. I was able to get the original paperwork/warranty with the car.... CA does seem to kinder to them based on your pic, that is interesting!
 
Having seen Kevin's car up close, we should all be so lucky! She is an fantastic find!

(ask Kevin to tell you the story about how he came to down her and how far he had to travel....)
 
Thanks for your help. I may go with TRF. I wante to see if there was perhaps a vendor that other folks had good luck with.

I'm interested in a good fit and quality for the money.
