Does anyone know of any british car junkyards or used part suppliers in the NJ,Eastern PA,NY area.I have a pretty good list of needed parts, and would like to try to get as much of the stuff I can in one purchase.
I know there was a foriegn car junk yard in Staten Island but dont remember name and that was 40 years ago.
Thanks
Tom

I'd expect pickings might be very slim at this point. You may want to consider posting a WTB here in the classifieds or VTR or similiar.

I can't remember the name of the yard but if you check with The Roadster Factory, they provided a phone number for a NY location once so I could source a set of A-Arms. You can email them at trfmail@aol.com

I'm a little farther away but I have a boat load of TR stuff (3's to 6's), send me a PM of what you need, I can at least give you idea.

Alas, I think the days are gone when one could walk thru a junk yard full of old LBCs. I recall a big one near New Castle Indiana that had so many TR3 bodies that they would just punch a fork lift into them and stack them 5 or 6 high.

The good news is that there's a handful of parts hoarders that have taken their place.

Speaking of which, I heard at the club meeting last night that John Nichols still has a huge cache of parts in Gardena, CA. Not much help from NY, but if you are in the SoCA area and desperately need some obscure part ...

TR3 only or does he have any TR4A/250 parts?

It is hit or miss Rich. He's a great guy, and I've had good luck with him but you need to give him time to dig everything out. I may actually be up there later today so PM me a list of what you are looking for.

And one I don't know the name of on RT. 412 between Hellertown, PA and Richlandtown, PA, in upper Bucks County area. I don't have more info, I will try to get the name next time I pass by...

Has a bunch of English stuff, old Minis and MGA last time I was there. I got a TR3 frame cross support off a TR3 there.

Thanks Tim
I am in the Hellertowm area alot, and will try to find out where
he is.Briish Miles is not that far either.Picking up some stuff in NY this weekend if all goes well the list should be a little shorte.
Two shops outside Philly also seemed like good guys who have parts.

At an FAA seminar, I met a man who taught at Upper Bucks County Technical College.

I about went crazy trying to find Upper Bucks County on the map!

Sure, you might want to stop if in the area. I am not sure if you can walk around but even the cars you can see from the office are interesting. When I got that frame support it was off a TR3 that flattened, like it was half crushed but complete otherwise.

The British Miles guy is good but a pretty hard seller, he kinda wants you to place an order before he will really search for the items. Although I was looking for a TR2 Lockheed rear axle, that probably needed some real work on his part.

Good luck!!

I guess you found it but "Upper Bucks" is really just the northern area of the county, kinda known to locals, no town or zip code.
