TR2/3/3A TR3 Body Stripping Bare QuikStrip Allentown

Boy is that in good shape...I don't see any real problems there at all, even in the usual places. Looks like a go situation.

This guy has backing from Rodger Penske. I bet we see the car at the Indy 500. At your rate of progress the car should be done by fall, or sooner. I have three years into mine so far. Nice work

Howdy Luke,

Your "One Lucky Devil"! Your car is as solid as a rock! The balance should be a pcs. of cake!

OK Luke; Get us all up-dated; What did it cost to dip the tub?

Thanx, Russ

I would like to have the TF dipped, but have to limit it to the fenders, running boards and bits and pieces with no wood in it. My wood is in perfect condition and don't want to chance damaging it. PJ

Hi Russ - the cost to dip the tub was $450.00. The fenders, hood and accessories was another $400.

Hi Paul - there is wood in the TR3 as well - scuttle support, doors, in front of the rear wheel wells. It defintiely has to come out. You also have to watch the aluminum VIN tag as well as accept that lead seams will be affected. I am away on a business trip next few days, but when I get back I plan to post some pix of the lead in a TR3 and what it looked like after the dip process.
